I am totally obsessed with Pad Thai. And I don’t know how, but the best is in Thailand and moreover, on the streets (except the specialized Pad Thai restaurants in Bangkok, which are awesome). Yet, recently I have been in Krabi and ate one of the best Pad Thai in my life, on the streets of Ao Nang.
Finding The Best Pad Thai in Ao Nang Krabi Thailand
While in Krabi Sofitel Hotel, I used the free shuttle they have to stroll the streets of Ao Nang, in search for shopping and some traditional Thai Restaurants. Yet, as I was checking all the stores in search for a particular item, I saw a huge due in front of a small street food venue that was selling Pad Thai. And decided to join the queue, as the best rule in street food is to follow the crowds. I did it throughout South East Asia and never regret it.
In Five Stars hotels in Thailand, the dish is not even close as taste to the one you find on a street merchant. Also, I had Pad Thai in fancy Thai Restaurants in Wiesbaden Germany and in Scotland. It was a disappointment. It was ok, but not the same.
