Hamad International Airport Hotel Doha is a beautiful Business Hotel that promise (and delivers) a magic airport experience. Surrounding the central area of Hamad International, the Hotel offers amazing views of the Airports Mascot and the crowds passing through, some rushing, others shopping or in search for a nice restaurant.
I love Airports so much and everything about them so I was pretty excited for the night in Doha and well, so curious!
My experience in the night staying at
Hamad International Airport Hotel Doha
The Airport Hotel
Hamad International Airport Hotel Doha is places in the third floor, near the lounges in the Departures area. There are 100 rooms, placed around the whole floor. So we can consider that the hotel has the inner court the main area of the airport.
My room was King Superior Room and it was huge! Really really huge and equipped with all the facilities for a 5 stars business hotel. Complimentary water, toiletries (very very good, brand…) and the bigger self I have ever seen in a hotel. Plenty of space for your belongings, you can spend a whole week or month in here, as far as the equipment. Room service available.
I said my room was huge yet it is the smallest of them all: “only” 38 sqm, in comparison with 43, 56, 92 or 132 sqm. So pretty comfy I may say.
The Hotel is full most of the time, so you have to book well in advance to find a room.
Vitality SPA is placed very handy at the 4th floor. It has a pool, jacuzzi, massages, fitness center and two squash fields. It costs 42 dollars to enter the center, even if you do not check in at the hotel, so it is quite nice to know that you can take a swim or make a massage if you transit Doha Airport for a few hours.
I left my luggage and then stroll around the airport, took some chocolates from Godiva and other sweet things and the enjoyed the pool. It is what I also did in the morning, after I had my coffees and it was the perfect way to end a beautiful trip to Krabi, Thailand. As a result, I returned home totally rest and ready to work. Next day I had a flight to Berlin for ITB Travel Fair so it was a total bless to be able to relax in the middle of the flight.
I was invited by QATAR Airways and the Tourism Authority of Thailand in a Fam Trip to Krabi and the program included two nights in Doha: one in the city and the other in the airport. I couldn’t be happier to find out that we will stay a night in the airport hotel I was so curious about.
